The holidays are upon us and I wanted to reach out and encourage you in your pursuit of living to glorify God in your work life. I also wanted to take this opportunity to update you on developments at His Church at Work and the impact our WorkLife Discipleship and Outreach models and tools are having in the growing number of churches we serve.

HCAW HIGHLIGHTS FOR 2004

1.      The growth of our church based work ministry models by over 100% now covering 7 states.  Over 500,000 unchurched at work are being influenced through the work lives of church members now.

2.      We spoke and trained at two Billy Graham Workplace events, one international conference and many other events.   

3.      A management level team member joined us in Atlanta to increase our operational capacity.

4.      A technology administrator / graphic designer joined the HCAW team and moved to Atlanta with us.

5.      Development of WorkLife University™, a process to simultaneously train several churches and lay the foundation for a scalable training model so we can expand.

6.      Addition of several ongoing volunteers including a:

a.        Prayer coordinator/intercessor

b.        Training curriculum development specialist

c.        Ministry evaluation instrument development and analysis specialist

7.      Relocation of the ministry from San Diego to Atlanta for greater organizational efficiency

8.      Formation of a formal Advisory Board to counsel and support HCAW.

9.      A developing city strategy to launch city clusters of church-based Worklife ministries to rapidly expand church influence in each city.

Dear Pastor,
 
Our WorkLife Ministry at church reminds me before I even start working, who owns me, who loves me, who I work for and how grateful I am for God in my life. These resources and your care about my work encourages me, challenges me and comforts me. I am inspired to trust God more in an area where He uses me most to touch other people. I am here 8,10,12 hours a day and I relate to 20 or more people daily. People I care about deeply and want them to know the one who created them, lovingly, perfectly and wonderfully. I want their hearts to be touched by the Master's hand and their longing to be fulfilled, their pain to be soothed and their lives to be saved. I want them to know the joy of knowing "The One" for which they were created and no amount of money or possessions will quench their desires.

A CHRISTMAS GIFT FROM HCAW

I hope you are enjoying this season of celebration and worship. All of us here at His Church at Work want to extend to you a Christmas blessing. I hope you are as encouraged as I am regarding the representation of the Good News through the work lives of the body of Christ. I see great progress in our mission of empowering churches for Worklife discipleship and outreach.
